ADR North-West has facilitated, starting with 2008, the creation of clusters in strategic areas with potential for the economic development of the region, such as geothermal energy and water, renewable energy, furniture manufacturing, IT sector etc.

ADR Nord-Vest was the initiator of three of the seven clusters existing at the regional level – the Transilvanian Furniture Cluster, Cluj IT and TREC Transylvania Energy Cluster, having the status of founding member or member as catalyst in the associations established to implement the development strategies.
